Founded in 1946 as a craftsman’s business, Gräff GmbH is now a modern company specializing in sustainably designed temperature measurement technology. Despite nearly 80 years of development, we, together with the current Managing Partner Marion Hupperich, remain proud of our heritage as a family-run, partnership-focused business. Partnership is a core value, actively embraced both among employees and in our relationships with customers.

From craft business to market leader

Foundations and milestones of Gräff GmbH.

January 1946

Heinrich Gräff founded the craft business for electrical installation as a retail business, thus laying the foundation of the company.

April 1946

Expansion of the retail business to include lighting fixtures and gift items.

May 1957

Telecommunications construction on behalf of Deutsche Bundespost (erection of telecommunications masts, installation of telephone connections).

November 1962

Conversion of the retail trade into a limited partnership

July 1964

Industrial company – apparatus engineering: Production of industrial heating fans for crane cabins, temperature sensors, device plugs as well as distribution of measuring and control technology.

June 1970

Closure of the Electrical Installation department.

February 1976

Foundation of the GmbH (limited company) Managing Director: Marlis Lehmacher, Hans Lehmacher, Dieter Trojan, Fritz Krämer Dissolution of the Telecommunications Construction department. Hans Lehmacher, Heinrich Gräff and Fritz Krämer

November 1985

Move to the new building, Bonner Straße 54, first construction phase.

November 1989

Occupation of the office building, second construction phase.

July 1991

Further expansion of the building with another extension and construction of a warehouse with basement.

January 1994

Appointment of Marion Hupperich as Managing Director.

April 2008

Expansion of the product range: Electric heating technology and insulation technology.

December 2010

Expansion of the product range: Melt pressure sensors for the plastics producing and processing industry.
